2月3日(土)〜9日(金) 八田亨展 (陶)

Toru Hatta is a potter with an anagama kiln in Sakai, Osaka.
He is particular about clay and firing, and his potteries are appealing because of their simple forms, yet nourishing and expressive.
About two years ago, he renewed his wood-fired kiln. He says that the kiln is in great shape. He is now experimenting with that kiln to create pottery with a more natural feel.
He says he wants to create something special that the person who gets it will love for a long time.

穴窯を移転して2年。2代目の「くすのき窯」は、とても調子がよいそう。かえって上手く焼けすぎてしまうところがあるとか。
そこを、どう「こじらせるか」というところに注力し、やりすぎず、自然さを引き出す焼きを目指し、窯に火を入れている。器の内側からしっかり焼けた八田さんの器。

3月2日(土)〜8日(金) みずのみさ展 (ガラス)

Mizuno Misa Exhibition
Mizuno Misa is a glass artist with a glass studio in Tajimi City, Gifu Prefecture.

She makes glass vessels using the traditional Venetian Mullini technique.
Her works made of mosaic glass with soft and gentle colors are attractive.
This exhibition is like looking into a jewelry box.

岐阜県の多治見市でヴェネチア伝統のムリーニ技法でガラスのうつわを作る、みずのみささん。
モザイクパターンの、柔らかで優しい色使いが魅力です。
宝石箱を覗き込むような心踊る展示会。

Go Takagi Exhibition

Go Takagi is a  potter who operates a studio nestled in the lush green mountainside of Ukiha City, Fukuoka Prefecture.

His pottery is fired in a wood-fired kiln, resulting in vessels that exude a generous, earthy quality, yet with striking, edgy lines.While they are simple and unadorned, the elegance of their lines is captivating.

An array of pleasing vessels awaits you in this exhibition.

おおらかで土味の感じられる器の中に、エッヂの効いたラインが同居している。
シンプルで飾りはないけれども、そのラインにドキッとさせられる。
ぎゅっと芯のつまった、いい器が並びます。

5月11日(土)〜17日(金) 宮岡麻衣子展 (磁)

Maiko Miyaoka Exhibition

Maiko Miyaoka is an esteemed ceramic artist based in Ome, Tokyo.
Miyaoka’s ceramics, imbued with a delicate blue hue, boast a subtly smoky and earthy tint, lending them an irresistible charm.
Complemented by her paintings, characterized by gentle, flowing brushstrokes that harmonize with the serene blue palette, her creations offer a captivating window into her singular perspective.

少し濁りのある燻んだ青が魅力の宮岡さんの染付。

6月8日(土)〜14日(金) 鈴木美雲展 (陶)

Mikumo Suzuki Exhibition

Mikumo Suzuki who has a workshop in Yamagata City, uses ash made from locally harvested fruit trees and other woods as glaze. This technique imparts delicate, soft hues to her pottery. These pieces, though simple, evoke the power of nature.

地元で採れる果樹や雑木で作った灰を釉薬にし、
繊細で柔らかな色合いを器に写し出しています。

7月20日(土)〜26日(金) 荒川蓮太郎(漆)・小林裕之・希(ガラス) 二人展

Rentaro Arakawa, Hiroshi,Nozomi Kobayashi Exhibition

Rentaro Arakawa is a woodworking and lacquer artist with a studio in Akishima, Tokyo. His work is known for its unique texture, created by carving wood and applying a special lacquer that mimics the look of rusting iron. 

Hiroshi and Nozomi Kobayashi are a husband-and-wife team of glassblowers from Fushimi, Kyoto. Their work features a distinctive texture created by blowing glass into molds.

We invite you to experience the collaboration between these two artists, combining lacquer and glass, and appreciate their unique artistry.

荒川蓮太郎(漆)・小林裕之・希(ガラス)  二人展

荒川蓮太郎さんは東京の昭島市に工房を持つ木工・漆の作家です。
木を削り出し、錆びた鉄が朽ちていくような、
独自の漆を使った塗りで表現されるテクスチャーが魅力。

小林裕之さん、希さんご夫妻は京都の伏見で型吹きのガラスを作る作家です。
ガラスを型に吹き込む際にできる独特のテクスチャーが魅力。
漆とガラス、お二方の共演をぜひご高覧ください。

8月24日(土)〜30日(金) 長戸裕夢展 (陶)

Hiromu Nagato is a potter with a studio in Tobe, Ehime Prefecture. He personally digs for pottery stones in Ehime, crushes them into clay, and throws pots on his wheel. He then fires them in his kiln to create pottery.

Nagato creates functional pottery and sees the celadon glaze of the late Edo-period Kitagawage Kiln in Tobe as reminiscent of Koryo celadon, with a hint of Joseon dynasty aesthetics in its lines.

His works are characterized by their soft, muted colors and generous, straightforward shapes, reminiscent of traditional folk pottery.

長戸裕夢展 (陶)

愛媛県の地で自ら土石を掘り、砕いて粘土にし、轆轤をひく。
そして窯に火を入れ、器を焼く。
道具としてのやきものを作る長戸さん。
江戸時代後期、砥部にあった「北川毛窯」の青磁の釉調に、高麗青磁を見、その線に李朝を感じるという。
古い民陶にみられるような、鈍く柔らかな色合いとおおらかで素直なフォルムが魅力です。

9月21日(土)〜27日(金) 川端まさみ(磁) 四海大(陶) 宮田春花(陶) 三人展

Masami Kawabata creates porcelain in Hasami, Nagasaki.
Dai Shikai makes pottery in Mashiko, Tochigi. 
Haruka Miyata practices pottery in Ina, Nagano.

In each location, they learn from traditional pottery, dig their own clay, work the potter’s wheel, and fire the kiln.
They all dedicate themselves fully to their craft.

This exhibition offers a glimpse into the “now” of ceramics through the work of these young artists.

川端まさみ(磁) 四海大(陶) 宮田春花(陶) 三人展

川端さんは、長崎の波佐見で磁器を
四海さんは、栃木の益子で陶器を
宮田さんは、長野の伊那で陶器を
作る若手です。

それぞれの地で、古陶から学び、土を掘り、轆轤をまわし、窯に火を入れ、
器というモノと向き合っいます。

若手三人による、陶芸の「今」を垣間見られる展示会です。

2024年10月19日 (土)〜25日(金) 額賀円也展 (陶)

Enya Nukaga has a studio in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, where he works as a ceramic artist deeply inspired by Koryo and Yi Dynasty pottery. 
He uses the Mishima inlay technique to craft exquisitely carved vessels, which are fired in a traditional wood kiln. 
These pieces are a beautiful blend of delicacy and boldness.

額賀円也展 (陶)

岐阜県の土岐市に工房を構える額賀さん。
高麗や李朝の焼き物に魅せられ、精緻に彫り込んだ三島手を、力強く薪窯で焼いている。
繊細かつ大胆な器たち。

2024年11月9日(土)〜15日(金) 藤吉憲典展 (磁)

Kensuke Fujiyoshi is a ceramic artist based in Fukutsu City, Fukuoka Prefecture. His work carries forward the tradition of Hizen porcelain, bridging the past with the present and into the future.

With deep indigo tones softened to a refined elegance, chic and understated some-nishiki, and vibrant, stylish akae.

In addition to the classic patterns unique to Hizen porcelain, his pieces feature designs inspired by the natural beauty that surrounds us, breathing new life into each vessel.
