京都に生まれ、陶芸の家に育った木村龍生さん。
祖父の代から続く環境の中で培われた眼差しは、
古い焼き物への深い理解とともに、
確かな手として器にあらわれています。
唐津、織部、伊羅保、染付、白磁、
多様な様式を横断しながらも、
いずれも「使う器」としての骨格を備え、
とりわけ酒器には際立った魅力があります。

Ryusei Kimura Exhibition (Ceramics)
Kyoto-born and raised in a family of potters,
Ryusei Kimura grew up surrounded by ceramics.
Within an environment shaped over generations
since his grandfather’s time,
he has developed a discerning eye
one grounded in a deep understanding of
historical works and expressed through
a confident hand in his own vessels.
Working across a wide range of styles—Karatsu,
Oribe, Ido, sometsuke, and white porcelain—his pieces,
while diverse in appearance, consistently possess
a structural integrity as vessels for use,
with his sake wares showing particular distinction.
Vessels that support the act of eating,
and those that accompany the time of drinking.
